Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and visionary Senior Graphic Designer to lead our visual communication efforts. This role demands a creative professional who can conceptualize and produce high-quality visual assets that effectively convey our impact, brand, and values. The Senior Graphic Designer will collaborate closely with the Marketing and Communications team, specifically writers, to support both internal and external communications across various platforms.

Roles and Responsibilities

Visual design and content creation
  • Create engaging static and animated graphics for social media platforms (Instagram, LinkedIn, X/Twitter, YouTube, etc.)
  • Design visual assets for digital campaigns, reports, presentations, infographics, and event collateral.
  • Support the development of branded templates and style guides.
Collaboration and coordination
  • Work closely with the Communications and Programs teams to translate ideas into visual assets.
  • Interpret creative briefs and deliver designs aligned with the brand’s voice, tone, and purpose.
  • Assist in creating versions and adaptations of existing creatives for different platforms or languages.
  • Work with external vendors including printers and media agencies as needed.
  • Manage multiple projects and timelines effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions and creative strategy planning.
File management and documentation
  • Maintain organized folders and asset libraries for internal use.
  • Ensure version control and proper file formats across platforms.
  • Document and archive past campaigns and design references.
Learning and innovation
  • Stay updated on current design trends, social cause aesthetics, and accessibility in visual design.
  • Experiment with new formats, techniques, and tools to improve engagement and clarity.
  • Be open to feedback and contribute actively in brainstorming and review sessions.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or equivalent experience.
  • 3–5 years of work experience in design (social impact experience is a bonus).
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); Canva knowledge is a plus.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing print and digital design work, including branding and data visualization.
  • Excellent understanding of design principles, color theory, typography, and layout.
  • Ability to design with cultural sensitivity and inclusiveness.
  • Familiarity with social media dimensions and best practices for visuals.
  • Familiarity with UI/UX principles and video editing tools is a plus.
