Role Overview

This role is for someone who is passionate about data and its application in solving India’s development challenges. We are looking for someone who has the knowledge and skills to turn raw figures into information and insight, which can inform policy and programme design.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Through secondary research, collate and compile databases related to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and integrate data from other credible sources.
  • Use open source tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources and online databases. 
  • Use statistical packages to identify, analyze and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that could be helpful for diagnosis and prediction.
  • Prepare reports for corporate clients stating trends, patterns and predictions using relevant data.
  • Work with senior leadership at Samhita by augmenting evidence – based approaches to strategic decision making.

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • An academic background in Statistics, Data Analytics, Economics or any other Social Sciences discipline.
  • Has at least 4+ years of experience in the Social Sector – in data management and research roles.
  • Proficiency in statistics and statistical packages like Excel, SPSS, SAS to be used for data set analysis.
  • Knowledge of data visualization softwares like Tableau, Qlik.
  • Has an ability to quickly develop both an intuitive and data-backed view of customers’ (beneficiary, funder) needs and is able to deliver on meeting those needs.
  • Possesses a sound knowledge of the development landscape in India, including an in-depth understanding of the roles of various stakeholders.
  • Is adept at generating insights, analysis, writing reports, and making presentations for corporate clients.
  • Use insights to provide market intelligence. 
  • Candidates who have proven experience in conducting Baseline Survey, Impact Assessment and SROI analysis will be given preference.
  • Is a self starter, works proactively and independently and is comfortable working and integrating with other teams.
