About ONDC

ONDC is an open-source network for digital commerce which intends to “democratise digital commerce” by carving a level-playing field for the e-commerce giants and the small sellers. It is looked upon as the UPI for e-commerce having the capability to fuel the growth of the e-commerce market in India. In the ONDC network, sellers can voluntarily choose to display their products and services throughout the platforms and apps which have joined the same. This initiative will not only facilitate the rapid adoption of e-commerce but also boost and strengthen the growth of start-ups in India. By facilitating scalable and cost-effective e-commerce through the open protocol, ONDC will empower start-ups to grow collaboratively.

Role Overview:

The Project Manager will be responsible to support the Project Lead in building an E-commerce seller network on the ONDC platform ranging across categories like retail, food processing, handicrafts, handlooms, apparel, agriculture, farmers, electronics. The incumbent will be accountable to facilitate the program management and implementation. 

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Develop project proposals, feasibility study, implementation, evaluation and monitoring. Plan and support implementation of the project. 
  • Identify cohorts, partners and industries most suited to on board on the ONDC platform
  • Program designs for the ONDC seller network and creating presentations / proposals 
  • Conduct market research and document best practices, specialized solutions, and integrate them while developing impactful proposals.
  • Support development of processes and templates to improve efficiency and efficacy
  • Work with the partners in creating standard SOP’s, conduct due diligence and complete all the necessary documentation before on boarding the sellers.
  • Deploy an effective framework to track seller on boarding, complete compliance and design dashboards to create success metrics.
  • At regular intervals address potential barriers, such as limited access to technology and resources 
  • Promote collaboration and partnerships within the ONDC ecosystem.
  • Work towards digitizing the business of the seller networks, facilitate product listing and granting them access to expanded markets and financial services within the burgeoning open e-commerce ecosystem

 

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • 8 to 10 years of experience in the project management and execution role, a few years of experience in the Ecommerce industry will be a plus.
  • Post-Graduation degree in Business Management, Finance or related field of study.
  • Strong project management skills, managing complex, multifaceted projects resulting in measurable successes.
  • Good interpersonal, facilitating and influencing skills to engage a wide spectrum of external and internal stakeholders.

Role Overview:

To build awareness about the brand and its priorities through impactful communication disseminated across media and communication platforms, including offline platforms such as events and volunteering programme, targeting internal and external audiences globally.

 

Responsibilities:


Brand Management :

– To be custodian of the organization’s brand, build awareness, create brand image and ensure brand recall for organization and its activities. Develop, implement, and evaluate the Annual organizational Communications Plan to support project objectives.

– Lead the evolution of organization’s brand guidelines, including visual identity, positioning and key messaging and ensure adherence to the same to establish organization’s unique brand identity across its work at the organization as well as the subsidiary.

– Identify platforms (online and offline) to represent organization and mentor teams to communicate effectively about the organization

– Liaise with organization’s Corporate Communications and organization’s Engage team to align organization’s communication and positioning with overall brand.

Content Creation :

– Lead creation of impactful content to target organization’s internal and external audiences through print and digital media across platforms – website, PR, social media, newsletters etc.

– Draft and edit communication to ensure that outputs adhere to a high-quality standard, respond to the needs of the target audience, and are delivered within agreed budget and timelines

– Engage and collaborate with external consultants and agencies to produce impactful content to meet organization’s communication needs

– Review & modify organization related communication created by teams across units, other teams and external partners to ensure content is aligned with organization’s communication objectives

– Create templates and build capacity of teams internally and externally to use them while highlighting organization supported activities.

Content Dissemination :

– Ensure organization’s communication is disseminated in the most appropriate and effective formats through media that is best suited to target specific audiences internally and externally

– Create, update and optimize the organization’s websites, digital annual report to ensure information is accurate, up-to-date and optimized for search engines.

– Manage organization’s presence in social media platforms in line with organizations and mother brand image and messaging protocol

– Respond to media queries, write press release quotes and forge relationships with key journalists to build awareness about organization’s initiatives

– Inform internal audiences about organization through the newsletters, intranet and mass emailers and ensure appropriate organizational presence in external platforms- partner websites, social media channels, newsletters etc.

Monitoring and Evaluation :

– Monitor website traffic and social media analytics to ensure digital strategies are achieving desired outcomes

– Track PR coverage of issues that organization works on, other communication activities and industry trends to identify opportunities for organization

– Track innovative communication ideas and industry best practices and identify opportunities to apply them for enhancing organization communications

– Identify events/ conferences/workshops/seminars where organization should be represented and coach the team on how the organization’s brand should be represented externally.

– Cross Functional Team Management and Support

Internal :

– Work closely with internal teams to create a singular identity and consistent messaging for organization in all geographies

– Collaborate with internal teams on joint initiatives that call for organization’s comm. contributions and representation

– Manage Communications budget for utilization.

– Work with HR teams at organization to understand the Engage agenda and ensure adequate support and resources are allocated to organization to contribute to the overall organization’s Engage platform.

External :

– Provide communication support and guidance to organization’s partners & funders for their communications plans and strategies on organization funded projects

– Manage organization’s representation in communication collaterals created for partnerships, events and multi stakeholder engagements to maximize organization’s brand presence and recall.

– Vendors, designers, consultants onboarding to be managed as per the laid organization documentation process, with whom the communications team will collaborate tor key identified project / assignment implementation.

Required Qualification:

Manager – Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL)

Job Responsibilities

  • Support the development of the overall MEL and knowledge strategy for Health, Family Planning , SRH etc
  • Work closely to execute the MEL strategy of individual  cohorts under the program  
  • Designing & developing Monitoring framework in executing research projects end-to-end: 
    • designing  cohort-specific survey instruments, digitization of survey instruments (SurveyCTO),  training enumerators, testing survey instruments, conducting high-frequency checks 
    • cleaning and analysis (STATA, R, Python), creation of insights based on analysis and  data visualization
    • conduct qualitative interviews to develop case studies and  triangulate findings 
  • Responsible to design quasi-experiments and test certain hypotheses with  respect to Health, Family Planning , SRH etc
  • Work closely with all stakeholders to implement experiments – hypothesis creation,  getting stakeholder buy-in, creating random samples, designing interventions, executing timely data collection, and trouble-shooting challenges.
  • Engage regularly with clients that support  individual cohorts with the  aim of fulfilling the MEL team’s vision 
  • Work closely with MEL teams/personnel , funders – to understand their focus areas and incorporate them into MEL  strategy and execution. Provide them with regular updates and thought partner with  them to troubleshoot challenges
  • Support knowledge creation and dissemination of insights in a regular and innovative  manner for a variety of digital platforms, including Samhita’s website, blogs, videos,  email newsletters, social media, publications, and more 

Education Qualification/Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree required (economics, statistics, econometrics, public  policy, biotechnology, health economics or other related disciplines) 
  • Worked on projects related to public health issues in one or more of the following: family planning, reproductive health, adolescent health, maternal and child health, gender.
  • 8+ years of experience working with on-ground social impact research projects and  managing their end-to-end execution (including research design, sampling, tool  creation and data collection and analysis)
  • Excellent understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methods  (econometrics, statistics, and research design) 
  • Demonstrated experience working on statistics software (Excel, STATA, R,)  and data visualisation tools (Google Data Studio,  Flourish, Tableau)

Data Analyst

Role Overview 

  • The role sits within the central Data, Analytics and Knowledge teams, which are responsible for all data, analytics, insights, reports, and knowledge products within Samhita spanning across all programs.
  • The person will play a critical role as the data custodian to take ownership of data collection, monitoring and usage while putting in place data quality and integrity checks, governance protocols and standard processes to manage data lifecycle.
  • The role will involve building and managing standard dashboards, enabled by the Technology team, for internal Samhita stakeholders, as well as external stakeholders like funders, and other partners. 
  • This role will also involve performing ad-hoc and deep dive analyses of the customer and partner data for insights with regards to operational efficiency and effectiveness of programs and interventions. Storytelling in the form of dashboarding will be necessary to present insights.
  • In order to perform the above-mentioned functions, the person will need to closely liaise with internal stakeholders such as the Implementation team, Technology team etc. and also with external stakeholders like lenders, implementation partners and other alliance partners.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • All types of data analysis including univariates and bi-variates, hypothesis testing, scenario analysis, finding correlations in data, and other standard and ad-hoc analyses to uncover drivers of program effectiveness and operational efficiencies and thereby help drive a culture of data driven decision making in the organisation and also help development of standard and custom data products 
  • Design and create dashboards for different products, programs etc. catering to a wide variety of stakeholders
  • As data custodian, responsible for setting standards and streamlining processes in the data lifecycle to ensure high quality of data, and ensuring those are followed across all stakeholders
  • Collaboration with internal Samhita-CGF stakeholders and clients/partners to do all of the above
  • Needs to have good oral and written communication skills, to be able to work independently and effectively with all internal stakeholders in order to collect, manage and use data

Skills Required

Assistant Manager / Manager – Research, Insights and Knowledge

Role Overview 

The role sits within the Measurement, Analytics and Products (MAP) team, as part of Samhita’s REVIVE Alliance. 

  • The incumbent shall focus on designing composite blended finance programs under REVIVE, consisting of suitable financial and non-financial services to MSMEs operating in the informal sector; administering and testing the pre-credit score (PCS) for the new-to-credit (NTC) informal MSMEs; analysing the repayment trends for various debt products through dashboards; and, conducting impact evaluation on MSMEs. 
  • The incumbent will develop analysis plans and conduct actual analysis using statistical software packages to draw insights on the informal sector MSMEs on-boarded by Samhita as part of its different blended finance programs under REVIVE.  
  • The person is expected to support creating dashboards, collateral, pitch decks, proposals and other necessary documentation with respect to developing insights on informal sector MSMEs. 
  • The person will take ownership of the full stack of knowledge production, from getting the raw data in place for conduct of analysis up to the creation and dissemination of compelling knowledge products in different formats. 
  • In order to perform the above-mentioned functions, the person will need to closely liaise with internal stakeholders such as the Implementation team, Technology team etc. and also with external stakeholders like funders, lenders, implementation partners and other alliance partners.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Ownership of analysis across its lifecycle spanning through design of data collection templates, monitoring of quality of data collection, impact evaluation through regression and other techniques, and knowledge sharing through reports, blogs, etc. 
  • Research to find the optimal solution for a given use case, keeping in mind operationalisation requirements
  • Support with documentation, proposals, collateral and other content creation related to Samhita’s REVIVE Alliance. 
  • Collaboration with internal Samhita-CGF stakeholders and clients/partners along with partnerships and implementation teams 
  • Critical thinking to challenge norms, and strive for continuous improvements in processes
  • Troubleshooting any blockages and liaising with internal/external stakeholders to deliver outcomes as planned

Skills Required

  • Post-graduation mandatory. Preferably in disciplines like statistics, economics, data science, econometrics, etc. 
  • Up to 5 years of relevant experience in a role in financial services, MSMEs, livelihoods, M&E, etc. 
  • Proficiency in writing data-backed knowledge products for external audiences 
  • Experience with statistical software packages like STATA and R. 
  • Experience with basic data analysis and dashboarding; Knowledge of Microsoft BI and Tableau will be an advantage but not essential

Manager/Sr. Manager– Growth , Innovation & Strategy

Role Brief:

The role sits within Samhita’s Growth and Innovation team, the apex team responsible for developing and scaling new initiatives as well as orchestrating programs/ initiatives within the organisation. The role requires collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders to create pitch decks, track existing programs and develop a broader strategy for the organisation. The role is integral for the organisation’s REVIVE Alliance, through which we aim to impact 10 million lives in the next 5 years.

The Team touches on all key aspects of the Samhita Social Impact work lifecycle, including conceptualization and design of new solutions and aid models, forging partnerships with funders and partners for their execution plan creation and program incubation, as well as creating client pitches to engage with newer funding and strategic partners. 

This role is for you, if you are someone who loves problem solving, is a self-starter and is looking to work in a fluid, dynamic environment with evolving challenges and opportunities for constant learning. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategy vertical, including working in close collaboration with the CEO and senior management
  • Support in building strategic partnerships with corporate and institutional donors through pitchbooks, concept notes, presentations and client engagement 
  • Design newer solutions across livelihood, gender equality, financial inclusion, digital transformation and related social impact themes including developing the theory of change, storyboarding the narrative in MS Office, and working with Implementation, Research & MEL Teams to customise the solution per client needs

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  1. 8+ years of experience in a Big 4 consulting/ strategy role

Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Lead Generation and Market Analysis
  • Identify and generate leads for potential customers / donors (directly / indirectly) to explore potential business opportunities

  • Identify, evaluate and track opportunities for lead generation like events, conferences and seminars. Also participate in such forums as and when required

2. Client

  • Manage client relationships end to end, from the point of initial contact to solutioning to keeping them abreast of implementation and the impact of the work undertaken
  • Work closely with other teams to develop impactful proposals based on alliances for corporates &donor organisations
  • Document best practices, specialized solutions, and integrate them while developing impactful proposals

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Master’s degree, preferably in Business, marketing or related field of study with 8+ years of strategy and consulting experience. Prior experience in development sector is preferred but not essential
  • Good commercial understanding
  • Good interpersonal, facilitating and influencing skills to engage a wide spectrum of external and internal stakeholders
  • Able to conceptualize and turn around thoughts and ideas into clear and persuasive concept notes and presentations

Role Overview:

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our growing Technology team. You will be responsible for expanding and optimising our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimising data flow and collection for cross functional teams. You should be an experienced data pipeline builder and data wrangler who enjoys optimising data systems and building them from the ground up. As a Data Engineer you will support our MEL(Monitoring and Evaluation) team, Implementation team, Funder Engagement team, software developers on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. You must be self-directed and comfortable supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems and products. If you are the right candidate then you would be excited by the prospect of optimising or even re-designing our company’s data architecture to support our next generation of products and data initiatives.
