Role Overview:

  • The role sits within the Measurements, Analytics, and Products team, which is responsible for all data, research, analytics, measurements, insights, knowledge, and products within Samhita.  
  • This role is for the lead position of the Measurements and Analytics vertical that is responsible for all impact measurement of client-funded projects as well as dashboarding and storytelling using all data collected in an overarching manner to enable better engagement with all funders and partners as well as drive data-driven operational efficiencies within Samhita.
  • The role is also expected to continually check data for inconsistencies and anomalies, and work closely with Data Ops and Technology teams to monitor and improve data quality 
  • The person will need to closely liaise with internal stakeholders such as the Implementation team, Technology team, etc., and also with external stakeholders like funders, implementation partners, and other alliance partners.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Perform impact assessment studies for all projects, and preparing reports for all stakeholders. To that effect, design and execute, with the help of partners, baseline/midline/endline surveys as needed.
  • Perform standard and ad-hoc analyses of the customer and partner data for insights with regards to operational efficiency and effectiveness of programs and interventions will need to be conducted on an ongoing basis. Storytelling in the form of dashboarding will be necessary to present insights.
  • Co-ownership of data quality and data collection processes along with Data Ops and Technology teams
  • Guiding and mentoring team members on analysis methodology and best practices
  • Research to find the optimal solution for a given use case, keeping in mind operationalization requirements
  • Collaboration with internal Samhita-CGF stakeholders and clients/partners along with partnerships and implementation teams 
  • Critical thinking to challenge norms, and strive for continuous improvements in products and processes
  • Troubleshooting any blockages and liaising with internal/external stakeholders to deliver outcomes as planned

Skills Required:

  • Graduate in any field, postgraduate in economics, statistics, data science/analytics, or any related field preferred 
  • 6-8 years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Experience with leading and managing teams 
  • Experience of having worked on social impact assessment projects
  • Experience of having conducted primary research, including survey design and execution 
  • Experience with building and managing statistical models; having experience with techniques like clustering and segmentation, regression, logistic regression, ML techniques such as XGBoost, Random Forest etc. 
  • Stakeholder management and having experience in external stakeholder facing roles
  • Experience with analysis tools such as Stata, R and dashboarding tools such as Power BI and Tableau 
  • Problem solving mindset and being open to working in an agile environment
  • Proficiency in MS Office Word, Access, Excel 
  • Effective communicator and collaborator in a matrix/network organisational setting
  • Problem solving, time management, interpersonal and critical thinking skills
  • Team player and self-starter
